Cadillac and Corvette demonstrate commitment to expansion in Europe with new models at IAA:

*Cadillac BLS Wagon, the brand’s first station wagon
*All-new Cadillac CTS luxury sedan
*Cadillac BLS with Flexpower
*Corvette C6 Coupe and Convertible with more powerful engine

The star of the Cadillac stand at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show will undoubtedly be the brand-new Cadillac BLS Wagon. But the news from General Motors won’t end there. The all-new Cadillac CTS, Cadillac BLS Flexpower and more-powerful Corvette C6 Coupe and Convertible will also be available for show-goers to see. Fans of the blockbuster movie “Transformers™,” can also get a closer look at the Hummer Autobot Ratchet vehicle at IAA.

Cadillac BLS Wagon

In addition to becoming Cadillac’s first station wagon, the BLS Wagon sets another milestone for the brand. The BLS Wagon marks the introduction of two new engines in the BLS range: a 2.0L Flexpower version that runs on E85 bio-ethanol and a powerful turbo diesel engine with 132 kW (180 hp).

Cadillac CTS – all-new for 2008

The all-new Cadillac CTS is marked by its dramatic design, serious performance, thoughtful technology and exceptional craftsmanship. From its exterior to its handcrafted, tailored interior, the CTS extends Cadillac’s legendary design lineage and creates a dynamic new presence in the formerly “reserved” world of luxury sedans. With its strong focus on driving performance, the car features powerful 3.6L direct-injection V-6 VVT and 2.8L V-6 engines. The CTS will be available in both rear- and all-wheel drive configurations. Cadillac’s stand will also feature the 2008 editions of the STS, SRX, Escalade and XLR-V.

Corvette with all-new V-8 engine

Model year 2008 brings a more-powerful 6.2L LS3 small-block V-8 for the Corvette Coupe and Convertible with 321 kW (436 hp) and 586 Nm of torque (preliminary ratings). The LS3 with the six-speed paddle-shift automatic is the fastest automatic-equipped Corvette ever, with a 0-96 km/h (0-60 mph) time of 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 306 km/h (190 mph). The sixth generation of the preeminent American sports car also benefits from a host of other driving and interior refinements.

Transformers’ HUMMER H2

An SUV-turned-movie star, the HUMMER H2 character featured in the adventure movie “Transformers™” is sure to catch the eye of fans of the uniquely iconic American brand. The HUMMER display will feature the H2 character “AUTOBOT RATCHET” that transforms from a Hummer H2 rescue vehicle. Other HUMMER news for European audiences includes the HUMMER H2 and H3. The H3 will feature a redesigned front exterior. Detailed information on the HUMMER H2 will be announced during the motor show.
