In Belgium, the Corsa was voted "2007 VAB Family Car of the Year" in the price category of up to €14,500. Each year VAB (Vlaamse Automobilistenbond – Flemish Driver’s Association) organizes a vote in which a professional jury and some 60 families nominate the VAB Family Car of the Year in two price categories. The assessment is carried out on the basis of a syllabus giving extensive practical details and technical information that are incorporated in comparative tables and technical data sheets, and of course a driving test on a varied route.
The new Corsa has convinced families due to its appealing and modern design, spacious interior with plenty of leg room, large and practical boot, good road holding and lively driving behavior. Also popular were the excellent sound proofing, seats with good support, sustainable materials and safety equipment.
VAB is the largest Flemish automobile association. It counts 950.000 registered vehicles.
