The 2008 edition of “Young? Creative? - Chevrolet!”, the pan-European contest aimed at young artists, will open on December 1. As the first edition, which was launched in March 2007, this second edition will be carried out throughout Europe in partnership with schools of applied arts.

“We are very excited to continue this project”, says Wayne Brannon, CEO of Chevrolet Europe. “We were very impressed by the first works the art students submitted for the first contest. The young artists demonstrated clearly their creativity, their enthusiasm and their fresh thinking!”. All European prizes will be communicated on January 25, 2008.
The contest is open to artists (individuals or groups) under 30 and covers five artistic fields:
· visual
· photography
· video
· interior design
· fashion
A total of 15 European countries participate in the 2008 contest: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, France, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherland, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Switzerland.
The schools can discover the briefings for each discipline and register on the website www.youngcreativechevrolet.eu
The contest is organized at a national level in partnership with renowned schools of applied arts. Juries composed of prominent figures from the arts, industry and media will chose projects at a national level that will then compete in a European grand finale for each of the five disciplines.
One of the objectives of Young? Creative? Chevrolet! is to promote accessible art and to find concrete openings for the winning projects and artists
