· Trend setting crossover of luxury wagon and SUV
· Choice of all-wheel and rear-wheel drive
· Interior shaped by advanced technology and expert craftsmen
· 4.6L V-8 Northstar and 3.6L V-6 VVT power plants

First launched in Europe in 2004, the crossover Cadillac SRX set a new trend in combining the sporty exterior and driving dynamics of a luxury wagon with the flexibility and interior space of a sport-utility vehicle. It has been a stylish trendsetter ever since. The 2008 model comes with a new steering wheel and improved key fob. New exterior colors are Black Cherry and Crystal Red Tintcoat.
The Cadillac SRX remains the division’s first-ever luxury crossover vehicle and expresses Cadillac's bold design vocabulary with a crisp, sharp-edged look. Its striking vertical headlights, bold front side sections and V-shaped front-end that tapers into the classic grille all demonstrate the Cadillac family resemblance.
The SRX is offered with a wide choice of powertrains. The 4.6L, 32-valve V-8 Northstar engine – the first all-wheel drive application for the Northstar engine family – is a sophisticated, technically advanced power plant that generates 325 hp (239 kW) at 6,500 rpm and 427 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. This sophistication is enhanced with a responsive and efficient six-speed automatic transmission.
The 3.6L V-6 VVT power plant develops 258 hp (190 kW) at 6,500 rpm and 339 Nm of torque at 2,700 rpm. This 60-degree, dual overhead cam (DOHC), 24-valve engine features electronic throttle control, variable valve timing, multi-port fuel injection, two-stage roller chain cam drive, aluminum block and cylinder heads and a forged steel crankshaft coupled to a five-speed automatic gearbox. In addition to all-wheel drive, the V-6 is also available with a competitively priced rear-drive option.
