The nationwide search to find the cream of the beatbox crop came to a head last night at London’s Islington Carling Academy where the Vauxhall UK Beatbox Championship final saw MC Zani - Dean Hosenie, 22, London and Reeps One - Harry Yeff, London battle it out in true tooth and claim for the coveted title of UK's no.1 beatboxer. Both routines blew the crowd away, however MC Zani proved to had the edge by stealing the show with a range of jaw-dropping beats, performed with flair, stage confidence and wit.
Over 1000 people attended the biggest night of the year in the beatboxing calendar, with eight finalists from across the UK competing for the title in London town. All performances were met with rapturous applause with favourite Lippicool doing a jaw dropping performance in the semi-final, only to be knocked out by the newly crowned king of beatbox – MC Zani.

The night also saw guest performances from British beatboxing royalty including Shlomo, and Kila Kela. Twice winner Beardyman also showcased his skills, setting the tone for the contenders, demonstrating the awe-inspiring vocal dexterity necessary to be a crowned a Vauxhall UK Champ and win a new Vauxhall Corsa.
