Cadillac will support the prestigious new Euro Hockey League, the new European competition which will replace the European Cups I and II from this autumn. The premium American car brand will provide luxury transport for VIPs and officials before, during and after the championship matches. The sponsor agreement enables Cadillac to show its new models, including the forthcoming all-new CTS, in a dynamic and exciting environment.
The European Cadillac organization will sponsor the Euro Hockey League until the year 2009. The new competition will replace the European Cups I and II, organised under the supervision of the European Hockey Federation (EHF). The top 24 clubs from twelve European countries will compete for the title in five match rounds. The opening round of the first Euro Hockey League will take place this autumn; the finals have been scheduled for the 2008 Whitsuntide weekend.
The Euro Hockey League, which sees top teams compete at the highest level, well matches the ambitions of Cadillac to consolidate its position in prominent European markets. Its foundations have been laid with the build-up of a strong European official dealer network and by providing a top-level service and warrantees. Adding to this is an exciting range of new models.
The all new Cadillac CTS luxury sedan will arrive in Europe later this year. Just as its predecessor helped change the perception of the brand on its debut in 2003, the new model is set to write a new chapter for the Cadillac name, bringing enhanced engines and transmissions as well as exciting new styling inside and out. Also new are the impressive Cadillac Escalade luxury SUV, and the prestigious STS luxury sedan, which is now additionally available with all-wheel drive. The distinctive Cadillac SRX crossover comes with a new interior and the high-performance V-series family has been enlarged by the 331 kW (448 hp) XLR-V and the 350 kW (476 hp) STS-V models.
Last but not least, the BLS compact luxury sedan again presents a brand premier. Already the first Cadillac available with a direct injection turbo diesel engine, at the end of 2007 it will become the first Cadillac ever to be made available as a Station Wagon, marking a further landmark in the 104-year-old history of the prestigious American brand.
