Still celebrating the make’s first ever 1-2-victory, the Chevrolet WTCC team is again preparing for rounds five and six of the 2007 World Touring Car Championship in Valencia, Spain next weekend. After the early start in Brazil, the championship now moves to a higher gear with five races in just nine weeks.

Alain Menu and Nicola Larini will be looking at ways to increase their points tally on a track that traditionally suits the Chevrolet Lacetti, despite having to carry extra weight for their Zandvoort success. Rob Huff on the other hand will be keen to emulate his team mates’ Dutch results, while Spanish lady Maria De Villota will make a one-off WTCC appearance with the Maurer Motorsport team for which she campaigns a Chevrolet Lacetti in the German ADAC Touring Car Championship.
Rob Huff: “To be perfectly honest: I’m going to Valencia to win! I’ll be the lightest of the three Chevrolets and the car is very fast as we saw in Holland, so there’s no reason why I shouldn’t be in a position to win.”
Alain Menu: “…in Spain all three of us should be able to fight for podium finishes…”
