New Chevrolet TrailBlazer Sets pace in the Mid-size Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) Segment

With the launch of the new TrailBlazer in September, Chevrolet is once more setting the pace in the mid-size Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) segment. The core attributes of the all-rounder include an extremely stiff body on frame construction with eight cross members and side rails manufactured using the complex hydroforming process as well as an all-new 4.2-liter inline six cylinder engine. With an output of 201 kW/273 hp at 5,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 373 Nm at 3,500 rpm, the four-valve
unit featuring variable valve timing gives the TrailBlazer impressive performance specifications. 90 percent of the maximum torque is available over the wide rev range of 1,600 to 5,600 rpm. The TrailBlazer has a top speed of 192 km/h. The average consumption per 100 kilometers is 13.0 liters of regular unleaded petrol.

The all-inclusive standard equipment package of the TrailBlazer, which is available in two versions (LT Premium and LTZ), is matched by the generous dimensions of the interior and cargo areas. The 4.89 m long five-seater vehicle offers not just substantial space for driver and passengers, but also a cargo volume of between 1,162 and 2,269 liters. The TrailBlazer will further fulfil the expectations of SUV customers with a maximum towing capacity of 2,608 kilos and manually activated all-wheel drive.
