UK-designed Cadillac forms centerpiece at centenary
celebrations
A British-designed, developed and built concept car is to form
the centerpiece of luxury car maker Cadillac's centenary celebrations
next year. The stunning car is the Cien, a 750 horsepower V-12 powered
mid-engine two seat sports car from General Motors' advanced design studio
for Cadillac in Warwickshire. Designer is Briton Simon Cox, Executive
Director Advanced Design, who also produced the Cadillac Imaj concept
car.
Cien - Spanish for 100 - is inspired by modern-day Stealth aircraft. The
advanced engine allows improved fuel economy and reduced emissions. Cien's
high-tech interior incorporating night vision, audio, computing, navigation
and wireless communication through hands-free voice activation will be
unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show in January.
