Saab Automobile AB plans to increase production at their Trollhattan plant and will therefore apply for a new permit in accordance to the Swedish legislation, called the Environmental Code. The application is administrated by the Environmental Court in Vänersborg, Sweden. Current permit allows a production of maximum 150 000 cars per year, which is planned to be exceeded by 2004. " The time for administration of such a matter is about two years and we therefore need to get the process started now to ensure that we will receive the permit in time", says Environment & Public Affairs Director Bo Swanér.
