Vauxhall's VX220 ranks second on CAR of the Year 100 list

Vauxhall vehicles are generating good news in leading UK car magazines. CAR magazine ranked the VX220 second on its prestigious CAR of the Year 100 list, and the Zafira GSi was highly praised by Autocar.

Vauxhall's VX220 received much praise from leading UK magazine CAR when it qualified as the number two vehicle on the CAR of the Year 100 list. CAR comments: "VX220 produces infinitely superior selection of noises from a 2.2 liter engine [...] better yet the fully served ABS armed brakes are a fade free delight." And, "Badge snobs beware; the VX220 may not have a Lotus logo, but it is marginally more civilized, very nearly as entertaining and a whole bunch better looking." Further Vauxhall vehicles that made it on the CAR of the Year 100 list are the Astra Coupé Touring Car, which ranked among the top 10 competition cars, and the Signum2, which placed among the top 10 concept cars.

Another Vauxhall vehicle to have generated good news is the Zafira GSi Turbo, which was described by the influential magazine Autocar as "coming close to reconciling family priorities with driving pleasure [...] its mix of everyday family versatility and hot hatch performance makes its a thoroughly engaging car. And Vauxhall should be applauded for that."
