Bob Lutz honored for leadership in auto industry
Bob Lutz, GM Vice Chairman of Product Development, and Chairman of GM North America, received the "Golden Gear" lifetime achievement award for his accomplishments in the automotive industry.
The Washington Automotive Press Association presented Bob Lutz, GM Vice Chairman of Product Development, and Chairman of GM North America, with the "Golden Gear" lifetime achievement award for his accomplishments in the automotive industry. Lutz, highly regarded as the "product czar" of the auto industry, accepted the award last week at the association's annual Gala Dinner in Washington D.C.
As he expressed his appreciation to the Washington D.C. based organization for honoring him, Lutz said: "...to spend 40 years so deeply involved with the things I love - great cars and trucks - is a terrific reward in itself. And to get an award like this one for doing it is just gravy on top of it all."
The Washington Automotive Press Association hosts its Gala Dinner every year in January to honor auto executives, automotive media and public relations professionals for their successful performances in their respective fields.
