Two GM employees earn automotive hall of fame leadership awards

Drive, determination and confidence have earned two GM employees the "2002 Young Leadership and Excellence Award" from the Automotive Hall of Fame: Denise C. Johnson and Bryan E. Nesbitt.

Drive, determination and confidence have earned two GM employees the "2002 Young Leadership and Excellence Award" from the Automotive Hall of Fame: Denise C. Johnson and Bryan E. Nesbitt.
The award recognizes men and women up to 35 years of age who have demonstrated significant potential as future industry leaders.

Johnson, 35, is General Assembly Area Manager for the Lansing Car Assembly Plant. She is responsible for 1,800 hourly and 100-salary production, maintenance and engineering employees on three shifts in two plants.

Nesbitt, 33, is Executive Director Design, Body Frame Integral Architectures. As the youngest member among GM Design's leadership ranks, Nesbitt has design responsibility for all unibody construction vehicles for GM's North American brands.

Other recipients of the Automotive Hall of Fame 2002 Young Leadership and Excellence Awards include Mark D. Norman, Daimler Chrysler Vice President of Sales and Marketing Operations, and Fred D. Tucker, Director of Sales & Global Strategies - Torque and Traction Technologies Group for Dana Corporation. The four will be honored on October 15 during a ceremony in Dearborn, Mich.
