Opel Polska receives "full conformance with zero deviations" for two ISO Standards

Opel Polska successfully implemented the ISO 9001 – 2000 and the ISO 14001 in just 10 short months.

Possession of the certified ISO Standards is a key element in the competitive vehicle manufacturing market and Opel Polska Management made a decision early on to implement and get certification for Quality Management and Environmental Management at the plant.

In just 10 short months, Opel Polska fully implemented the Integrated Management System according to two international standards, the ISO 9001-2000 for Quality Management System and the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.

The ISO 9001-2000 Standard specifies requirements for Quality Management System to demonstrate a continuous ability to meet customer and other applicable requirements with an aim to enhance customer satisfaction.

The ISO 14001 Standard specifies requirements for Environmental Management System to protect the environment, taking into account legal requirements as well as significant environmental aspects that can be both controlled and influenced.

The readiness of Integrated Management System was confirmed by the certification audit conducted on October 8 – 11, 2002 by two external certification authorities, the Kraftfahrt Bundesamt (KBA) in Dresden Germany and the Polish Centre for Testing and Certification (PCBC) from Warsaw Poland.

During the audit no nonconformities were detected and Opel Polska achieved full recognition of achievement. With an emphasis on continuous improvement, Opel Polska is reviewing implementation of several suggestions made by the certification authorities.
