Consumer Reports' rankings are based on nearly 480,000 subscriber responses to questionnaires. The magazine is considered the single most influential source for US consumers making a new or used car purchase.

In the December issue of Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine, the Saab 9-5 Aero is named Best in Class in the US$30,000 - US$40,000 range. Cars were rated on performance, value and safety. Other cars in this category include: Volvo S60 and S80, Audi A4, BMW 3- and 5-Series, Jaguar X-Type, Lexus IS 300, and Mercedes Benz C-class. In addition the new Saab 9-3 Arc Sport Sedan was named Best New Car in the US$30,000 - US$40,000 range.

"Independent third-party accolades are some of the most powerful tools in our business," says Debra Kelly-Ennis, President Saab Cars USA. "Our cars are impressive and we are pleased to that some very influential organizations are recommending."
