IBC celebrates the sale of the 100,000th Vivaro

IBC celebrated the sale of 100,000 award winning Vivaro to Scottish Power.

The 100,000th Vivaro was driven off the line at IBC Vehicles in the UK on Friday, November 29, 2002. Taking delivery of the special white panel van was Vauxhall fleet customer, Scottish Power.

Peter Thom, plant director, praised the teamwork that had taken the plant to this milestone. "Today marks a real achievement in the development of the Vivaro and with numerous awards already behind it, including the prestigious International Van of the Year, Vivaro is our most successful product."

Scottish Power's fleet business manager, Sandy Duckett, received the keys to the milestone van, part of a fleet deal for 10,000 vehicles signed earlier this year. The company selected Vauxhall following a live on-line electronic auction.

Mr. Duckett said: "The whole life cost of the Vivaro was very attractive, particularly the fuel economy given that we are an environmentally conscious company. It has been great to see the 100,000th van coming off the line in Scottish Power corporate insignia."
