Brussels Motor Show opened this weekend

The 81st Brussels Motor Show opened this weekend with Opel premiering the Meriva and Astra OPC.

Significantly, two of the winners have won their categories for each of the three years – Vauxhall's uncompromising VX220 sports car voted as still best roadster and the Zafira MPV, whose flexible seating system is yet to be bettered four years after being launched.

With expected attendance to exceed 250,000 visitors, this year's Brussels Motor Show (January 18 – 26) will focus on light commercial and recreational vehicles.

Opel's theme of "versatility and functionality" will highlight the Belgian première of the Meriva and the Astra OPC and include more than 24 cars. Other models shown include the Zafira, Agila, Corsa, Frontera (Limited and Barbour version), Opel Combo and Combo Tour, Vivaro and three versions of the Movano.

Held at the Brussels Expo, the Brussels Motor Show is one of the most popular motor shows in Europe and hosts over 200 exhibitors.
