Rick Wagoner recognized by the Swedish Royal Automobile Club

In celebration of its 100th anniversary, the Board of KAK, the Royal Automobile Club of Sweden, honored GM's Rick Wagoner, Ford's William Clay Ford, VW's Ferdinand Piech, and Daimler Chrysler's Jürgen Schrempp with medals of achievement.

The Board of KAK, the Royal Automobile Club of Sweden, celebrates its 100th anniversary by honoring four automotive executives and their companies with gold medals "for their exceptional achievements in the automotive industry".

The four medals were presented on Friday to Rick Wagoner of General Motors, William Clay Ford of the Ford Motor Company, Ferdinand Piech of VW, and Jürgen E Schrempp of Daimler Chrysler.

The KAK award was presented in a ceremony at the Royal Castle in Stockholm by His Majesty Carl XVI Gustaf "for the four companies that have contributed to the design of environmentally-friendly cars with high safety and quality".
