New Design Package for Opel Astra Sport

The Opel Astra Sport is will be available in some markets with a "Sport Design Package" offering an optional spoiler, color-keyed bumpers and side sills, chrome tailpipe and more.

The Opel Astra Sport is now available with a "Sport Design Package". This optional equipment includes a spoiler for the roof (station wagon) or tailgate, color-keyed bumpers and side sills, 215/40 R17 tires (station wagon: 215/45 R17) on five-spoke, 17-inch light-alloy wheels, a chrome tailpipe and front fog lamps. The new package is offered for all hatchback and station wagon versions of the Astra with the Sport specification.

The comprehensive list of standard equipment for the Astra Sport includes air conditioning, remote-controlled central locking, electric front windows, stereo radio/cassette with steering wheel remote controls, sport seats for the driver and front passenger, and a leather-trimmed steering wheel. The instruments are black-on-white with matte chrome rings. The Astra Sport also features an aluminum gear knob, a matte-chrome center console, chrome door handles and tinted headlamps and taillights. The agile handling of the DSA (Dynamic SAfety) sport chassis is enhanced further by the lowered body.

The Astra Sport will be assembled by Opel Special Vehicles (OSV) at the Opel plant in Bochum, Germany.
