Daewoo Italy sells its 300,000th car

Daewoo Motor Italia celebrates the sale of its 300,000th car.

Established in Italy in 1995, Daewoo Motor Italia is now an important market in Europe.

The success of Matiz, launched in 1998, with more than 160,000 units sold in Italy, confirms that the Daewoo strategy of pursuing quality and attractive design, at a reasonable price, has been a winning choice.

Bodies shaped by famous Italian designers and a reliable technology have delivered a successful range cars including the Matiz, Kalos, Tacuma, Evanda, and the new Nubira. The commercial success of Daewoo cars in Italy is due to the reliability of the products and to the attentive care for the European taste, which have the "feel" of being made in Europe.

In addition to the Matiz, the most popular models sold in Italy include the Lanos with 52,300 units sold and the Nubira with 26,200 units sold. The Kalos, launched in Italy in October last year, continues to be popular with the introduction of the 1.2l with over 7000 units sold to date.
