New Opel Corsa beats Polo and Fiesta

The revised Opel Corsa has scored its first victory!

IIn a comparison test published by the authoritative weekly German car magazine, Auto Bild, on September 26, the new edition Corsa with 1.4-liter Twinport engine defeated its major rivals, the VW Polo 1.4 FSI and the Ford Fiesta 1.4. Thanks to its improved steering and chassis, the Corsa "has matured", writes Auto Bild, "and its economical Twinport system saves just as much fuel (only 6.7 l/100 km in the Auto Bild test-cycle) as the more complicated Polo FSI (gasoline direct injection)."

Auto Bild also praised the Corsa's acceleration, its two-year warranty, its brake-assist system ("the only one tested with brake-assist as standard") and its braking performance - "The Corsa comes to a standstill (e.g. 37.7 meters from 100 km/h) a full car's length earlier than the Polo and the brakes hardly fade at all when hot."
