Vectra wagon beats VW Passat Variant
In a recent comparison test conducted by the German automotive magazine "mot" the Vectra wagon scored higher than the VW Passat Variant.
"Which is the better car, Opel Vectra or VW Passat?" asked the prestigious German auto magazine "mot".
The answer was clear: With 381 points, the Vectra Caravan 3.0 V6 CDTI scored higher than the VW Passat Variant V6 TDI.
In the categories of driving pleasure, safety, long distance requirements, short distance requirements, family and leisure the Vectra showed clear advantages over its competitor.
"The Opel Vectra wagon offers more space, better instrument comfort and features more optional equipment – adaptive forward lighting and cooling box to name some features. Its chassis is more sporty and taut, the engine more powerful," writes the magazine in its verdict.
The recently launched Vectra wagon is 14 cm longer than its competitor featuring larger rear doors, more passenger seating space and a larger cargo area. The magazine also praised the Vectra's FlexOrganizer system for versatile, secure and orderly cargo storage. In addition, the Vectra's 3.0 V6 CDTI engine showed better acceleration rates and appeared more powerful.
