All time record for Vauxhall vans as sales double in just two years
Up by a staggering 54.3 percent over the last two years, Vauxhall sets
an all time record in van sales. Sales at 49,982 were up by a staggering
54.3 percent in 2002 which itself was a 31.1 percent rise in 2001.
Over the last four years, the share gap between market leader Ford and
Vauxhall has halved to just 11 points.
The Luton-built Vivaro van outsold its stablemate Renault Trafic by almost
two to one, and Astravan sales continued to rise as demand continued
to grow for this unique model. Vivaro sales totaled more than 10,000
and the sales leader for 2003 was the Combo with 21,002 registrations.
"
We are proud of these figures," says national vans sales manager
Ian Hucker. "This is precisely what Vauxhall set out to do when
relaunched the Vauxhall vans brand just two years ago."
