USA Today, a US national newspaper with 6.8 million readers, praises the new Saab 9-3 Convertible.

In a recent article, USA Today, a US national newspaper with 6.8 million readers, praises the new Saab 9-3 Convertible.

" The top is nicely finished, goes up and down via one-button power and does so efficiently. The rear window is glass, not plastic, and has an embedded defroster."
Top up, the car has a low-rider, custom look - distinctive, if not pretty. Top down, it's reasonably sleek for a smallish car. A nifty option allows you to drop the top and lower all windows from the remote control key fob.

In summarizing many of the highlights, USA Today reports: " Manual transmission shifts easily; automatic generally shifts crisply. Nicely arrayed instrument panel and dashboard has exceptionally attractive gauge lighting, most of which can be turned off to improve night vision. Embracing seats promise extra whiplash protection. Steering and brakes are responsive. The 9-3 Convertible seems finally good enough to justify the cravings."

" USA Today is usually very sparing in giving out praise," says Steve Janisse, head of Saab Automobile's product communication team, "and we're very pleased to have received such high marks. It is very good for our image on the North American market."
