GM Daewoo enters Polish market with Chevrolet
In May, the Polish market will see the introduction of a new range of
Chevrolet cars.
The latest Chevrolet model, the five-door Lacetti hatchback (C segment),
will be offered alongside other models already available in several Central
and Eastern European markets: the Aveo hatchback and sedan (B segment),
Lacetti sedan (C segment), Evanda (D segment) and Rezzo (compact van).
In the fall of this year the range will be extended by the Lacetti station
wagon.
" Poland is a market with great potential for our products," says
Erhard L. (Hardy) Spranger, Executive in Charge of GM Daewoo Europe. "Our
Chevrolet line-up offers customers a "smart buy". Pragmatic
purchase considerations like price, reliability and service go hand in
hand with emotional factors like exciting design and the positive image
of the brand."
In Poland, the quality of the Chevrolet range is underlined
by a 3-year mechanical guarantee and three years of Road Side Assistance
support.
The new models will be available through a newly created sales network,
mostly based on the existing Opel dealers. Initially, it will include
at least 25 dealer outlets and will be expanded as the brand grows on
the Polish market. Chevrolet sales are expected to account for 2 to 3
percent of the Polish passenger car market by the end of 2004.
