Opel's model offensive continues in spring 2004
Opel is continuing its model offensive in the spring of 2004. The star
of the new model year is the third generation Astra. Opel also keeps
up the momentum in diesel expertise. Two new 1.9-liter common rail turbo-diesel
(120 and 150 hp) with multi-injection are now incorporated in the Vectra
range and in the Signum. These new 1.9 CDTI engines are available with
a maintenance-free diesel particulate filter (DPF).
Opel is also presenting
revised versions of numerous models. The Meriva minivan gets optimized
transmissions for the gasoline engines, resulting
in less fuel consumption, reduced emissions and quieter running. Attractive
style packages for the Agila, Corsa and Combo Tour, plus more customization
options round out the improvements to the model range.
