Good quality marks for Saab

In the latest issue of the US Consumer Reports magazine, published by a highly respected consumer survey institute with a big impact in North America, only eight European car models, all less than a year old, are rated as a 'recommended buy' with regards to quality.

In general, American cars were rated better than the European makes. This happened for the first time within 25 years. Both Saab 9-3 and 9-5 are among the very select eight European models identified as 'recommended buy'.

" This is really important to us", says Steve Janisse, head of product communications at Saab Automobile. "I know how influential these surveys are in USA. Coming out well in Consumer Reports gives us competitive advantages."
