30,000 visitors at Opel Astra employee day in Rüsselsheim

With the start of sales last Saturday, Opel employees, their families and friends were invited to celebrate the arrival of the new Astra at Adam Opel AG in Rüsselsheim.

A total of 80 cars, including a large number of Astras with all equipment levels and various engine choices were on display and accessible to the visitors alongside with the entire Opel model range.

The Astra was presented on stage by racing champions Joachim Winkelhock and Katja Poensgen.

Additional show stars were the TRIXX concept car and the Tigra TwinTop, both recently presented at the Geneva Motor Show.

Beside the cars, the technical exhibition got a lot of attention, too. Visitors could follow the design evolution of the new Astra step by step and take a closer look at some of the ITDC durability test stands.
