Chevy celebrates first year in India
Chevrolet celebrated its first anniversary in India at a Chevrolet Celebration
Rally held last month.
Last month, GM India celebrated Chevrolet's first anniversary
in India with a well attended Chevrolet Celebration Rally.
Attending the celebration was US Ambassador David Mulford. He noted, "one
of the biggest differences between the India of today and that of 20
years ago is the number of Chevrolets on the road."
Mulford also commended GM India for the progress made in its nearly
eight years of operations in India and said, "The name Chevy stands
for quality and durability in the US. I am pleased to learn that it is
gaining the same reputation here in India. I was delighted to hear you
have sold over 6,000 units of your new model Optra in six months. Well
done!"
