Opel and Vauxhall expand range of ECOTEC gasoline engines with fuel-saving technology

Opel and Vauxhall expand their range of ECOTEC gasoline engines with the innovative TWINPORT fuel-saving technology. The newly developed 1.2 TWINPORT engine with 59 kW/80 hp has its premiere in the Corsa and Agila. It is not only more powerful than its 75 hp 1.2-liter predecessor with conventional fuel-injection, it also boasts up to 12 percent higher fuel efficiency.

The Meriva now features the 66 kW/90 hp 1.4 TWINPORT instead of the 1.6-liter engine (64 kW/87 hp) offered to date, increasing fuel efficiency by almost 15 percent.

Further highlights of this model year's Agila, Corsa and Meriva are the new range of infotainment systems with intuitive operating concept, new exterior and interior colors, new options and attractive special editions.
