Opel Meriva voted "Minivan of the Year" in Catalonia, Spain

The Opel Meriva was named best car of the year 2004 in the minivan category in Catalonia. The award was given by the popular vote of radio and television audiences of local channels in Catalonia.

The prize was handed over at the Colet Museum in Barcelona. The Catalonian Minister of Labour and Industry of the Government of Cataluña, Josep María Rañé, attended the event.

With 116,960 cars sold in Europe in the first six months of 2004, the Meriva is a bestseller. It is produced at the Opel plant in Figueruelas (Zaragoza), Spain
