200 hp 2.0 Turbo: Most powerful Astra takes to the road

The 2.0 Turbo with 147 kW/ 200 hp – the most powerful version of the third generation Astra – is now available. In October the first cars will be delivered to customers.

Thanks to its integral turbocharger concept, combining exhaust manifold, turbine housing, wastegate and other components in one compact unit, the 2.0-liter ECOTEC gasoline engine delivers top performance. It develops 250 Newton meters of torque in a wide band from 1950 rpm, with the maximum 262 Nm reached at 4200 rpm. The 200 hp Astra sprints in 8.2 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, in fifth gear it accelerates from 80 to 120 km/h in only 8.0 seconds. Top speed is 230 km/h.

The standard IDS Plus sport chassis (Interactive Driving System) with Continuous Damping Control (CDC) sets a new benchmark in terms of driving dynamics, adapting shock absorber characteristics continuously to road conditions and vehicle movements. The standard equipment of the 200 hp Astra 2.0 Turbo also includes the innovative Adaptive Forward Lighting (AFL). This steering-linked system with bi-xenon headlamps offers dynamic curve light as well as adaptive highway light.
