Opel Vectra 1.9 CDTI wins another comparison test

The Opel Vectra 1.9 CDTI station wagon came in first in a comparison test of four station wagons with diesel engines.

The four contestants were the Opel Vectra 1.9 CDTI, the Peugeot 407 SW Hdi 135, the Honda Accord 2.2i-CTDi and the Jaguar X-Type 2.0 Diesel. With 508 points the Opel Vectra is clearly ahead of Honda (501 points), Peugeot (472 points) and Jaguar (456 points).

The verdict for the Vectra: “Comfortable, good handling, fuel-efficient, powerful, spacious and affordable. Apart from being a little sluggish from a standing, the Vectra doesn’t have any weaknesses.”

In August, the Vectra 1.9 CDTI sedan already won a comparisontest conducted by the German motoring magazine “auto motor und sport”, beating the Mercedes C220 CDI, the VW Passat 2.0 TDI and the Peugeot 407 2.2 HDi.

Some weeks ago, the German car magazine “Autozeitung” put the Vectra 1.9 CDTI in the first place, in front of eleven competitor vehicles.
