Deutsche Telekom orders 259 Opel Astra CNG models

The German telecommunications company, Deutsche Telekom, ordered 259 Opel Astra CNG ( Compressed Natural Gas) to enhance its natural-gas-powered fleet. The cars will be used in customer service across Germany.

In the beginning of 2004, 53 Astra and Zafira models with natural-gas-powered engines were already supplied to Deutsche Telekom.

With a market share of 80 percent, Opel is leading the segment of natural-gas-powered vehicles in Germany. The CNG models are an important part of the environmentally- and resource-friendly strategy.

The CNG cars are produced by Opel Special Vehicles in Rüsselsheim.
