“Auto Bild” quality survey: Opel is best European car manufacturer

In the latest quality survey by the German motoring magazine, “Auto Bild”, Opel ranked on seventh place and was thus the best European car manufacturer.

All manufacturers are rated in seven categories: an inquiry among 25,000 car drivers, recalls, result of seven million reports from the German Technical Inspection Agency (TÜV), “Auto Bild” endurance tests, complaints readers reported to the magazine, dealership and service test and warranty conditions.

Opel achieved good results in the area of TÜV reports and reader complaints, and an excellent one in the endurance test.

The magazine writes: “Opel the reliable one? Yes, definitely! Something is for sure: Opel is at its height in terms of quality.”

The “Auto Bild Quality Report” is conducted annually and is considered to be the most comprehensive study on the subject. It rates the long term quality, reliability and customer satisfaction of the 20 most important car brands in Germany.
