Over 35,000 orders placed for new Vectra family models

Since June 24, when orders for the new Vectra family models were first accepted, until September 17, just one week after the start of sales, 35,000 orders were placed throughout Europe. This number shows the great interest in the “new face in the mid-size class”.

Carl-Peter Forster, President, GM Europe, sees the successful sales launch of the new Vectra as “an important signal in a market characterized by consumer reticence. Opel and Vauxhall have once again demonstrated their commitment to offer immediately tangible benefits to the customer, as they did recently with the Astra and Zafira. The Vectra, in all of its body and drivetrain variants, is one of the most practical and technically advanced cars in its class.”

The new edition is available as a four-door notchback, five-door sport sedan, station wagon and Signum combi-coupé, with a choice of five gasoline and four diesel engines. The enhanced Vectra family is leading its class in key technology areas. These include the IDS Plus chassis with electronic damping control CDC for top performance in driving comfort, safety and dynamics, the AFL bi-xenon headlamps with curve and cornering light, as well as the maintenance-free diesel particulate filter system as standard for all diesel engines.
