More Fleet Awards for Vauxhall

After already having received three prestigious fleet awards earlier this year, Vauxhall was now presented another five awards by The Fleet World, a highly respected magazine in the industry.

Vauxhall, Britain’s fleet market leader, scooped the top accolade for “Fleet Manufacturer of the Year”, while the Astra was named “Best Fleet Car”.

Vauxhall’s strong line-up of commercial vehicles again proved to be very popular and competitive. The Combo was named “Best Light Van”, the award for the “Best Medium Van” went to the Vivaro, and the economical 1.3-liter CDTi engine was named “Best Diesel Engine”.

The “Fleet World Honours” were judged by a panel of experts representing the leasing industry, fleet managers, motoring journalists, residual value experts and the editorial team of Fleet World, who took into account a number of factors including residual value, maintenance costs, reliability, driver appeal and manufacturer back-up.

Fleet World editor Ross Durkin said: “Last year, Vauxhall sold over 223,000 cars in the fleet market – the second year running it has topped the fleet sales charts – and 2005 looks to be heading the same way. The model range features some truly exciting cars with exceptional engines and the award for Fleet Manufacturer of the Year is a fitting tribute to an excellent performance.”
