Meriva OPC premieres at 38th Essen Motor Show

The Meriva OPC will make its world premiere at the 38th Essen Motor Show. The sports minivan features a powerful 180 hp turbo engine and has a top speed of 222 km/h. The Meriva OPC’s newly-developed 1.6-liter turbo gasoline engine is the most powerful in its segment.

The high-performance version of the versatile Meriva will be available as of February 2006. The Meriva OPC features high-tech options that are unique in its segment, including the halogen cornering and curve light (Adaptive Forward Lighting).

Joining the OPC versions of the Astra, Zafira, Vectra and Vectra station wagon, the Meriva OPC brings the high-performance model family to five members.

The 38th Essen Motor Show will open its gates to the public on November 25 and last until December 4, 2005. Some 400,000 visitors are expected to visit the show.
