1,000 Chevrolet Lacettis for the Hungarian Police
Yesterday, GM Southeast Europe representatives handed the first 350 Chevrolet Lacettis over to the Hungarian Police. The frame contract covers a total of 1,000 vehicles. Over a three year period Chevrolet will deliver 350 Lacettis per year. These cars will be used by the Hungarian Criminal Investigation Departments. All 1,000 vehicles will be Chevrolet Lacetti hatchbacks with 1.6 liter engine and SX trim. So far, this contract represents the largest fleet deal for Chevrolet in Central and Eastern Europe.
Károly Wolf, Director of GM Hungary considers this business a real break-through: „We are really happy that the Lacetti, the most popular Chevrolet model in Hungary, was so successful in the Police tender. The Lacetti represents excellent value for money. It is a good package combining reliable technical features with an appealing design. We are confident that the future will bring further fleet business for Chevrolet.”
GM Hungary expects to sell around 11,000 Chevrolet this year. The Lacetti is the most popular Chevrolet model in the country, representing 42 percent of the total Chevrolet sales. The hatchback is the most popular body style within the Lacetti family and counts for about half of the sales. The second best selling model is the Chevrolet Kalos. GM Hungary expects a further sales increase when the new Aveo sedan hits the market early next year.
