Zafira elected "Smart Buy"

The readers of the German magazines, "Guter Rat" and "Super Illu", chose the Opel Zafira as a "Smart Buy" in the station wagon and van category.

Readers praised the Zafira's Flex-7 seating system, exemplary passenger-compartment space, high safety level and economical friendly engines.

Opel Managing Director Hans Demant, who accepted the prize at the award ceremony in Berlin, was delighted: "What makes me particularly proud is that the fact that the prize comes directly from the readers and thus from the customers, for whom we develop our cars."

Last year's winner in the station wagon and van category was the Astra station wagon. That year, the Tigra lead the convertible and coupe category.
