The C.M.O.N.S. owned the red carpet
The sassy newcomers from Barcelona's hip underground scene, the C.M.O.N.S., were chosen as the celebrity presenters of a backstage contest among the stars of this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The new Opel/Vauxhall Corsa, one of the official sponsors of the awards show, spiced up the backstage excitement by offering presenters and performers a chance to win a unique Opel Corsa designed by popular street artist Boris Hoppek. Each star received a key and the British girl band Sugababes was the lucky winner that held the key that unlocked the doors to this one-of-a-kind automobile.
Before all the drama backstage, the C.M.O.N.S. wooed adoring fans, who wore C.M.O.N.S t-shirts and screamed out the names of the band members: Red, Moo, Blue, White, and Cherri. Despite not being nominated for an award, the band came out in full force on the red carpet and at the after show VIP party showed they have the confidence and the style to be more than a one-hit wonder.
The C.M.O.N.S. are five funky puppets, each with its own unique identity and history, reflecting various psychographic profiles of today’s twentysomethings.
