General Motors CIS receives "Darin" award

General Motors CIS was awarded with a "Darin", the National Award of Business Reputation, by the Russian Business Academy. The award was handed to Warren P. Browne, Executive-in-Charge, Russia and CIS on the 10th official award-giving ceremony.

GM was the winner in the category of "Integration". The prize in this category is presented to the foreign company that pursues an effective business strategy in Russia and the CIS countries.

"On behalf of General Motors CIS, I would like to thank the Russian Business Academy for the high acknowledgement of our business activity. GM has multiple partners and plants in Russia and this allows us to integrate into the Russian business community, culture and regions in a meaningful way", Warren P. Browne said at the award-giving ceremony.

The "Darin" award was established in 1995 and it is the most prestigious award in business and entrepreneurship in Russia today. The award distinguishes socially oriented Russian and foreign firms or individuals, irrespective of their field of activity, who have made a substantial contribution to the social and economic life of the country, region or town.
